Mayank is responsible for growing investments and partnerships with startups globally. Prior to MUIP, Mayank was leading investment in Indian Fintech startups at Recruit Strategic Partners – the venture investing arm of Recruit Group (largest internet company in Japan) where almost all the startups he invested in went on becoming highly recognizable and reputable companies. Mayank has spent a significant time of his career at Mizuho bank doing derivatives trading, supporting to set up new bank branches in Mexico & Yangon, VC fund investment and Open Innovation projects. Trained as an engineer in India, Mayank worked as a consultant at HCL Technologies. He holds an MBA from the International University of Japan and also holds the highest proficiency level certificate in the Japanese Language (JLPT N1). He is proficient in English, Japanese and Hindi.
