May 2, 2023. MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd. (MUIP), a corporate venture capital fund and a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. (MUFG), has recently invested in Lentra AI Private Limited (Lentra).
Founded in 2018, Lentra is a leading cloud lending platform empowering banks and NBFCs to lend faster. Lentra has a robust presence across India with 60 partner banks and NBFCs and will replicate its India growth in the Southeast Asian countries. As one of the fastest growing enterprise SaaS companies, Lentra is transforming retail finance digitally at a scale and is democratizing credit through instant credit decisioning and instantaneous processing.
MUIP co-invested with MUFG in Lentra to support the company’s growth journey in India and outside. Through the investment, MUIP will support Lentra to further explore synergies with MUFG Group including its partner banks in Southeast Asia.
