(MUFG), the leading global financial group of Japan, recently invested in sustainacraft, Inc.(sustainacraft), an innovative solution provider that brings transparency to Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
sustainacraft offers (1) a cost-effective and high precision satellite-based forest monitoring solution to estimate carbon stocks by using multiple data sources, and (2) a transparent carbon credit project platform using causal inference-based FREL (forest reference emission level) estimation solutions. sustainacraft’s unique combination of technologies will help enhance the credibility of international carbon credits, thereby facilitating the global trading of such credits.
Through the investment, MUIP would support sustainacraft’s strategic partnership within MUFG, including foreign subsidiaries and raise awareness of this field among MUFG’s corporate clients.
