MUFG Innovation Partners invested in Investree Singapore Pte. Ltd. – a holding company of PT Investree Radhika Jaya, Indonesia’s leading business-to-business (B2B) marketplace lending platform .a P2P Lending Platform for SMEs.
April 20, 2020 –MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd. (MUIP), a corporate venture capital fund and a wholly owned subsidiary of MUFG, the leading global financial group of Japan, recently invested in Investree Singapore Pte. Ltd. , a holding company of PT Investree Radhika Jaya (“Investree”), Indonesia’s leading business-to-business (B2B) marketplace lending platform .a P2P Lending Platform for SMEs.
Investree provides interfacing service sites as a liaison for the party providing the loan (lender) and the party who needs the loan (borrower). Their mission is to increase the acquisition of lenders while providing access to financing that is easier and more affordable for borrowers, especially SMEs by optimising data and technology. Investree is the only fintech lending company that has obtained a Business License for Information Technology Based Lending and Borrowing Services from the Financial Services Authority in Indonesia for two types of business, namely conventional and sharia.
As at the beginning of April 2020, Investree recorded total loan facility of IDR 5.11 trillion and loan value disbursed if IDR 3.83 trillion with an average return of 16% pa and TKB90 of 99%. Investree was also named “Best Fintech of the Year” by The Asset Magazine, “Best P2P Lending Platform for SMEs” by The Asian Banker, and “30 Most Promising Growth-Stage Startups” by Forbes Indonesia.
PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (“Bank Danamon”), a member of MUFG, and Investree, signed a partnership agreement on Loan Channeling whereby Bank Danamon will provide loan funding through Investree platform on 12 March 2020. Through this loan channeling scheme, a prospective borrower would receive the convenience and easier access to business financing with considerably higher credit limit, just like as if they were applying through bank.
Through the investment, MUIP supports Investree’s business growth and international expansion through strategic alliances among Investree and MUFG financial group.
